Salary

HK$20,159 – HK$25,195 per month

Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Assist laboratory technologists in reception of biopsy specimens; include checking, labeling and recording.(Specimen may be infectious or radioactive)

3.

Assist laboratory technologists in performing routine histopathology laboratory duties, including: staining, mounting and labeling of stained slides, printing cassettes and slides.

4.

Operate simple equipment under supervision, such as automatic stainer, coverslipper, fume hood, cassette and slide printers etc.

5.

Filing and retrieving patients’ materials such as paraffin blocks and stained slides and require operating mobile shelving system.

6.

Prepare simple laboratory reagents; and handle inflammable or corrosive chemicals under supervision (include handling and preparing of formaldehyde solution).

7.

Cleansing and disinfect of contaminated plastic ware, glassware and containers; reuse or dispose them as appropriate. Dispose specimen containers, corrosive and poisonous reagents, chemicals and articles which are likely to be infectious.

Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, benches and shelves in clean and tidy condition, including cleansing of Down Draft Tables.

Require to do manual handling work, including transportation of bulk reagents.

Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent; AND

2.

Completed structured departmental training (See remarks).

Possess working experience in laboratory.

2.

Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure.

3.

Pleasant and mature personality with good communication skill and inter-personal skill, interested to work in hospital environment.

Good PC skills & knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications.

Fluent in spoken Cantonese and ability to speak English and Mandarin.
