As a Product Manager, you will lead a product team responsible for a global post-booking self-service platform, enabling customers and agents to view and manage bookings, payments, holiday details, and post-booking changes. The role owns the definition and delivery of backend services, APIs, and customer-facing capabilities, working closely with engineering, architecture, design, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap and backlog for post-booking services, balancing customer needs, business priorities, and technical requirements
- Lead product discovery and validation, identifying opportunities to improve self-service and the customer journey
- Take end-to-end ownership of features and backend capabilities, from requirements and prioritisation through delivery and post-launch improvement
- Translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements, API/service behaviours, and acceptance criteria
- Work closely with Tech Leads, Business Analysts, architects, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to shape and deliver solutions
- Drive delivery within an Agile cross-functional team, managing dependencies, priorities, risks, and blockers
- Use product analytics, KPIs, and service performance data to measure impact and prioritise improvements
- Ensure delivered solutions meet expectations for quality, reliability, security, and performance
- Collaborate across teams and markets to ensure alignment and a consistent post-booking customer experience
Qualifications
- Strong PM skills with the ability to coordinate across technical teams and dependencies
- Technical background / technical understanding is important, particularly because the PM will work closely with architects and technical leads
- Needs to work very closely with the TTL and BA, rather than operate independently from them
- Ability to understand the technical context behind what the team is building, even if the person is not deeply hands-on technically
- Travel-industry background would be highly beneficial
- Strong stakeholder and team-management skills
- Upper-intermediate+ level of spoken and written English
Nice to have:
- Experience owning backend services, platform, or API products (ideally in a microservices architecture)
- Familiarity with Java/Spring Boot services, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tooling (e.g. Datadog)
- Understanding of contract testing (Pact), SLIs/SLOs, and reliability/SRE practices
- Exposure to the travel / booking-management domain (reservations, payments, ancillaries)
- Experience with A/B testing and optimisation methodologies
- Understanding of UX/UI and accessibility design principles
