About the role
Intuit's Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Workforce Solutions Product Management organization within the Employment Policies capability. This role supports our mission of transforming Workforce Solutions from a reactive system into a proactive, intelligent compliance platform for small and mid-market businesses. You will help simplify complex labor laws for customers by owning the Time Off (PTO) policy experience and contributing to a stronger onboarding journey.
About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager, you will own two connected experiences within Workforce Employment Policies: (1) the payroll-to-accounting integration, including how payroll expenses, liabilities, and company contributions are mapped, posted, and reclassified in QuickBooks, and (2) the employer bank setup journey, including direct deposit enablement, bank verification, and the communications that keep customers moving through it. Both areas sit at the intersection of workforce, money movement, and accounting, and both directly shape whether customers complete setup, run payroll with confidence, and trust the books that result.
You will partner closely with the Employment Policies team and with peers across Payments/Wallet, Account Services, Risk, QuickBooks Online accounting, and Care. This is a great role for a PM who wants to build deep domain expertise in payroll accounting and money-movement onboarding, and who is comfortable owning a roadmap that spans multiple platform teams.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, execution-focused, and curious about payroll, accounting, and money-movement domains. You define clear product requirements and success metrics, break down ambiguous problems into well-scoped features, and hold a high bar for quality and usability. You are comfortable untangling problems that cross team boundaries (for example, who owns an email, a status, or an error message) and driving them to a clear owner and a clear fix. You are equally comfortable talking with an accountant about chart-of-accounts mapping and with an engineer about verification retries and status codes. You use data and customer feedback to find the highest-impact opportunities and translate them into clear, prioritized work.
Responsibilities
-
Own the roadmap and day-to-day execution for the payroll accounting integration in QuickBooks, including account mapping and configuration, mapping overrides for specific employees or departments, posting date settings, aggregation of bank credits, and paycheck reclassification, with the goal of matching or exceeding the accounting sync experience customers get from competitors.
-
Own the roadmap and day-to-day execution for employer bank setup, including direct deposit enablement, bank account verification (instant and micro-deposit), handling of pending, failed, expired, and suspended states, and the in-product messaging and notifications that guide customers through each step.
-
Define product requirements and success metrics for both areas, such as setup completion, drop-off at the bank connect step, verification success rate, reclassification volume, and accounting-related support contacts.
-
Partner with QuickBooks accounting, accountant and experts stakeholders, and Care to validate mid-market and accountant needs, and to decide where to integrate with existing QuickBooks capabilities (such as the QBO reclassify tool) rather than building net-new.
-
Partner with Payments/Wallet, Account Services, and Risk teams to clarify ownership, improve status and reason-code visibility, and design clearer, more actionable customer experiences (including email and notification ownership) for money-movement onboarding.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, GTM, Care) to deliver end-to-end improvements, from first-time setup through ongoing payroll runs and accounting posting.
-
Use data, voice-of-customer, and AI tools to identify friction points in accounting sync and bank setup workflows, and translate them into clear, well-organized product requirements.
-
Contribute customer and data insights to the broader Employment Policies roadmap and strategy discussions led by senior PM and Principal PM peers.
Qualifications
-
4+ years in product management, ideally with exposure to Payroll, Accounting or Bookkeeping software, Payments or Money Movement, Fintech, or related domains.
-
Strong project management and execution skills, with a track record of delivering well-scoped features against clear success metrics.
-
Working knowledge of, or strong interest in building, fluency in accounting concepts (chart of accounts, journal entries, expense and liability mapping, reclassification) and in payments concepts (ACH, bank verification, KYC/KYB, risk holds).
-
Experience working across multiple platform teams where ownership is shared or unclear, with a record of aligning teams on a clear plan and owner.
-
Comfortable operating within a defined scope while partnering with senior PMs / Principal PMs on a shared roadmap.
-
Excellent ability to translate customer, accountant, and stakeholder input into clear requirements, roadmaps, and product artifacts, using AI tools to work efficiently.
-
Exposure to US and Canada payroll or banking requirements is a bonus.
-
Undergraduate degree in technology, business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
