About the role
The Regional Director of Nursing (DON) (Medical) provides clinical, educational, and professional supervision for site DONs and support staff. The Regional DON works under the direction of the Program Manager/Vice President of Operations (VPO) and collaborates with medical leadership and other members of a multi-disciplinary team in the correctional environment to improve the healthcare of incarcerated patients.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required • Master's degree preferred • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of employment required • Progressive experience in nursing care with a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred • Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening • Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) • Corrections, forensic or criminal justice experience preferred • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
