About the Role
As a Purchasing Assistant, you'll play an important role in keeping our purchasing process running smoothly. You'll work with vendors, track orders, resolve discrepancies, and help ensure materials arrive when they're needed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, managing details, and keeping things moving in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
- Place purchase orders with vendors
- Communicate with vendors to confirm receipt of purchase orders
- Enter, review, and follow up on purchase order confirmations
- Track shipments and follow up on outstanding orders to help ensure timely delivery
- Generate and review purchase order reports through our ERP system
- Research and resolve pricing and shipping discrepancies
- Process return material authorizations (RMAs)
- Maintain accurate records and organized files
- Assist with additional purchasing tasks and projects as needed
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A dependable, proactive approach to completing tasks and following through
