About the role

At Marie Curie, we’re committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our patients and their families. We’re looking for a practical and reliable volunteer to support our Maintenance team in keeping the hospice in excellent condition and looking its best to all visitors - both inside and out.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to the day-to-day upkeep of the building, the grounds, external structures and signage, helping ensure the hospice remains a comfortable and functional space for everyone.

Availability: 3 hours per week Thursdays or Fridays

Time: Anytime between 9am and 4pm

Location: Marie Curie Hospice, Marsh Lane Solihull West Midlands B91 2PQ

Criteria: Minimum 18 years of age

What you’ll do

Assist with maintenance, repairs and upkeep of the hospice
Assist with setting up or clearing areas where needed
Move furniture, equipment, supplies and stock
Support with routine collections or errands
Maintain a tidy and safe environment across all areas
