About the role
Job Location:
Avani Windhoek Hotel & CasinoAt Avani, we’re all about finding that perfect balance — between cool and kind, design and function, service and privacy. We’ve built our hotels and resorts around this philosophy: vibrant social spaces that vibe with the day, stylish rooms that simply work, and honest, locally inspired food. We embrace an upbeat service culture that genuinely respects the art of hospitality.
With a growing portfolio across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Australia, Avani is a brand on the move. If you take real pride in the little things — and believe that a warm welcome and a genuine smile make all the difference — you’ll fit right in here.
We are looking for a confident, energetic and service-driven F&B Supervisor to lead and support the team at The Pantry.
This is a highly visible, guest-facing position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced Food & Beverage environment, enjoys being present on the floor and has a genuine passion for service excellence.

- Supervise the daily F&B operations of The Pantry, ensuring prompt, professional and courteous service.
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor, engaging with guests and supporting the team during busy service periods.
- Ensure smooth service coordination between the restaurant, Room Service and kitchen.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, service standards, cleanliness, product quality and team presentation.
- Open and close shifts in line with operational procedures and ensure schedules, reservations, floor plans and checks are prepared.
- Apply appropriate revenue and check-control procedures during shifts.
- Coach, train and motivate team members while consistently reinforcing Minor Hotels service standards.
- Manage day-to-day operational challenges, including call-outs, last-minute bookings and staffing requirements.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary working environment and follow up on maintenance requirements.
- Build strong team communication, encourage problem-solving and contribute ideas to continuously improve operations and the guest experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Hospitality or Food & Beverage qualification would be advantageous.
- Relevant restaurant, hotel or F&B experience, preferably with supervisory responsibility.
- Strong communication, leadership and guest-service skills.
- Passion for hospitality and service excellence.
- Ability to remain organized, hands-on and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.
- High standards of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
