About the role
We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and experienced Painter to join a busy construction and renovation company. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects.
Candidates must be knowledgeable in surface preparation, painting techniques, and proper use of painting tools and equipment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can complete projects safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, and applying primer.
Perform interior and exterior painting on residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
Apply paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, including airless sprayers.
Work with various surfaces, including drywall, wood, metal, concrete, and stucco.
Apply primers, stains, sealers, epoxies, and other specialty coatings as needed.
Read and follow project instructions, blueprints, and specifications.
Properly use and maintain painting tools, ladders, scaffolding, and equipment.
Measure surfaces and estimate paint and material needs.
Complete touch-ups, repairs, and finishing work to meet quality standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Assist with general renovation and maintenance tasks when needed.
Requirements
Previous professional painting experience required.
Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial painting.
Must be skilled in surface preparation and various painting techniques.
Experience using brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, and other painting equipment.
Knowledge of different paint types, primers, stains, and coatings.
Ability to read and follow instructions and project specifications.
Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and construction sites.
Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, bending, lifting, and working outdoors.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Must be dependable, hardworking, and safety conscious.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial or industrial painting projects.
Knowledge of specialty coatings, including epoxies and industrial finishes.
Experience with construction, remodeling, or renovation projects.
Ability to estimate materials and complete projects within deadlines.
Familiarity with painting safety procedures and protective equipment.
