About the role
Role Summary
At Pfizer, breakthroughs change patients' lives. In Specialty Care that means people living with rare and serious conditions, from ATTR amyloidosis and hemophilia to atopic dermatitis and vitiligo. Our Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) team turns data into the decisions that help these medicines reach the patients who need them, powered by a proprietary, AI-enabled analytics stack few commercial teams can match. As a Team Lead in IIS, you will build and lead the team of strategists behind how these brands grow, and grow the people who do it.
Pfizer's Specialty Care Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) team is seeking a Director / Team Lead who will build, lead, and develop a brand-aligned pod of strategists and analysts. The team drives commercial brand strategy by framing the business problems, generating the insights and analytics that answer them, and enabling executional excellence.
The Team Lead is a trusted thought partner to senior US and Global portfolio and TA leaders, sitting on their leadership teams and bringing analyses that shape portfolio decisions and overarching strategy. Just as importantly, they grow the people: unlocking the team's intellectual and analytical curiosity, fostering a spirit of innovation and out-of-the-box thinking, setting a high bar for quality, and mentoring the next generation of IIS strategists.
The ideal candidate is an outstanding people leader with the EQ to build and inspire cross-functional teams and guide the delivery of exceptional strategic consultancy. They bring proven thought leadership in their space, strong entrepreneurial drive, and a well-formed point of view they are not afraid to assert, and they develop that same confidence in their team through consistent mentorship and support. They pair deep analytic command with the presence to partner credibly with senior leaders, and they measure their success by the decisions they shape and the people they grow.
Why IIS: What You'll Gain
- Lead at the frontier of AI in commercial analytics. Your team uses and helps shape IIS-built tools like ORBIT (our subnational performance platform) and AnalogueOS (our AI analogue-matching engine), and you will set how AI fluency scales across the pod.
- A leadership platform. You will build and grow a team of high-caliber strategists and analysts, shape how the pod works in an AI-enabled operating model, and see your people advance along IIS's strategist career track.
- A real seat at the table. You will sit on senior portfolio and TA leadership teams as a trusted thought partner, and your team's analysis shapes the decisions those leaders make.
- A culture built on curiosity. We reward the sharper question, out-of-the-box thinking, and genuine intellectual partnership over order-taking, and we look to our leaders to protect it.
