At Grand Hyatt Barcelona, one of the city’s newest luxury landmarks, we are seeking a skilled, motivated, and passionate Demi Chef de Cuisine to join our exceptional Culinary team. If you have a strong culinary foundation, excellent attention to detail, and a desire to create memorable gastronomic moments, this position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a world-class environment.
This role is offered under a permanent contract.
What You Will Do
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with Grand Hyatt Barcelona’s recipes and presentation standards.
- Support the Chef de Partie in the daily organization of the kitchen and ensure all mise en place is ready for service.
- Manage your assigned tasks efficiently and contribute to a smooth service across the hotel’s restaurants, banqueting operations, and events.
- Ensure consistency in the quality, presentation, and portioning of every dish.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
- Monitor the correct storage, labeling, and rotation of products to minimize food waste.
- Keep work areas, equipment, and storage spaces clean and properly organized.
- Work closely with the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams, contributing to a positive and professional working environment.
- Support junior team members when needed and help maintain consistent kitchen standards.

- Solid knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to follow recipes and presentation standards consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently during busy services.
- Knowledge of HACCP requirements, food safety procedures, and kitchen best practices.
- Positive attitude, team spirit, and willingness to continue learning.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for hospitality and for creating memorable culinary experiences.
