Position Title:

Baler Operator – Grand Prairie Box

Pay Rate:

$25.06/hr. plus shift differential

Sign-on Bonus:

$500 after 30 days,

$500 after 6 months

Category/Shift:

Hourly Full-Time

Monday – Friday, OT/weekends as needed)

7am – 3pm (training period only)

11pm – 7am

The Job You Will Perform:

Following all trained and published safety policies and procedures
Complete pre-start loader maintenance inspection report
Responsible for feeding paper to hogger conveyor (all facets of loading the baler)
Load the baler using a forklift
Record grade, percentage of waste in compactor dumped material
Monitor bales for wiring, grade, and weight
Reading factory orders
Accurately reading gauges and other test equipment
Utilizing basic shop math and have the ability to read a tape measure
Inspecting product
Accurately completing quality checks to ensure specific directions are followed
The ability to practice and maintain great housekeeping
This person will also be assigned to weekly clean-up functions including but not limited to blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, as well as picking up and shredding scrap.
Proper inspection of outgoing and incoming products and raw materials
Will be required occasionally to help clear the shipping line, load trailers, & other tasks that require operating forklift
Other duties as required

The Skills You Will Bring:

Good attendance and punctuality
2 years manufacturing experience preferred
Must be 18 years of age or older
Consent to a background check and pre-employment physical / drug screen
Verifiable, stable work history
Flexible to work overtime as needed
Must have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn new things, receive and follow instructions
