Youth Worker

As a Youth Worker you will lead groups with LGBTQIA2S+ youth and their allies, creating a safe environment, enhancing social skills of participants, and providing access to a system of support. You will provide a welcoming environment; facilitate weekly social/support groups; recruit youth to the support group; facilitate group activities; provide skill-building opportunities that create companionship; and build community relationships through presentations to local organizations. You will provide one-on-one support to youth and provide individual advocacy support to participating youth. Some data collection, documentation, and virtual correspondence will be required.

Job Requirements:

• Working knowledge or willingness to build knowledge of positive youth development, harm reduction and trauma informed care.
• Ability to pass a background check and a Motor Vehicle record check
