Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. • Load and unload equipment and attachments; check for and record any damage.
• Refill fuel and other fluids for equipment, pressure washers, forklifts, and other tools and equipment.
• Clean small air tools, small electric tools, bulk rental items, and larger rental equipment such as rollers and compactors; use high-pressure washer as needed.
• Test equipment to ensure safe and effective operation.
• Clean and organize store front, warehouse, yard, shop floors, and parking lots; use high-pressure washer as needed.
• Paint equipment and re-scribe equipment numbers needed.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of rental discharge, suction, and other hoses.
• Keep steam bay clean and organized.
• Service small air tools, small electric tools, and bulk rental items.
• Check hour meters on equipment for use.
• Safely operate and transport equipment to and from Service department and display areas.
• Transport and deliver equipment, tools, and parts to customers and vendors.
• Complete service reports, timecards, and other related paperwork.
• Organize work tools.

• Receive, tag, and scan machines and attachments in the yard for Inventory purposes.
• Perform shipping/receiving functions, inspect for damage, and follow outlined shipping/receiving policies and procedures.

• Install attachments to machines as needed.
• Operate a company vehicle regularly to perform essential job functions.
• Follow all Cresco Operational Procedures and Quality Control (QC) Standards.
• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

• Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Display excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers/ coworkers, including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Respectfully take direction from supervisor/manager.

JOB SCOPE

This position serves in the capacity of the Yard Attendant. General discretion and judgment are exercised routinely in the execution of job duties. If errors in judgment or professional execution of responsibilities are made, the consequences to the department can be significant.

INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS

Internal contacts consist of levels of positions in the company from business unit leaders to entry level positions. This position regularly deals with employees and customers in exchange of information in person, writing, via telephone or by electronic transfer. Sensitivity is required in dealing with such information and decisions concerning the release or sharing of that information. External contacts consist of customers, visitors and vendors.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, safely and in alignment with Peterson’s core values. • General safety knowledge and operation of walk-behind and ride-on equipment shop forklifts for moving of stationary and tow-behind equipment.
• Basic mechanical knowledge preferred.

The pay range for this position is: $23.15 - $26.23 (Starting wage will depend on experience and education. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary).
