Lead the partnerships behind 200 million pounds+ of prevented food waste
Leanpath partners with some of the world’s largest foodservice organizations, including Sodexo, Google, Compass, and Aramark, to measure and prevent food waste across thousands of kitchens every day. Our partnerships are built around our clients’ most important operational and sustainability goals, and our role is to help them achieve those goals site by site, year over year.
We are seeking a leader to deepen, expand, and grow the value of these partnerships. The ideal candidate earns a trusted advisory role with clients through expertise, demonstrates measurable results, and translates that trust into sustained growth.
About Leanpath
Founded in 2004, Leanpath is a certified B Corp and the leader in enterprise food waste management. Our automated, AI-powered tracking shows culinary teams exactly what they waste and why. Our experts then help them change purchasing, prep and menu planning so the waste never happens. Thousands of kitchens in more than 50 countries use Leanpath, and our clients routinely cut their food waste in half, saving money and shrinking their environmental footprint along the way. Together they've prevented more than 200 million pounds of food waste.
Our mission is to make food waste prevention everyday practice in the world's kitchens. We're a global team of culinarians, foodservice experts, technologists, sustainability leaders and analysts, working together to make our mission reality.
About the role
Our largest clients are served by dedicated account teams who act as partners, not vendors. As VP of Client Partnerships, you lead those teams and our broader portfolio of key, strategic and independent accounts.
Our platform is the core of what clients buy, and our team’s expertise is what helps them get the most from it: designing food waste programs, proving results across hundreds of sites, and deciding where to expand next. Growth comes out of those conversations. A solution for a client’s stadium and event venues, a rollout to a new region, a new module - each begins as a strategic discussion about where the platform can take them next.
Your mandate is to grow our existing client base, and you’ll build a team that owns its numbers to get there. That means full accountability for expansion, renewals and retention, reported to the leadership team, investors and board. This is a trusted advisor role for someone who is commercially driven and knows that growth follows proven value.
What you'll do
- Lead the client organization. Manage enterprise account leaders across the US, Europe and APAC. Develop owner-minded leaders who run their portfolios like businesses they’re responsible for growing.
- Drive growth and own the numbers. Convert proven results into new sites, new regions and new products through strategic, consultative selling, not transactional upsell. Own net revenue retention across every existing client, and build an account-level forecast with white space and pipeline that shows where the next growth comes from.
- Lead at the executive level. Build relationships with senior leaders at our largest clients. Run business reviews that prove ROI and set the agenda for the year ahead.
- Collaborate across the company. Coordinate with Sales, Product, Operations, Support and Finance at clear, agreed handoff points, and bring the client's voice into product and strategy decisions.
- Build the team. Make discerning talent decisions, develop the team, and grow the next generation of client leaders.
What you bring
- 10+ years in key account management, client partnerships or consulting, leading complex, long-cycle enterprise relationships.
- Real growth accountability. You’ve owned expansion and retention targets for large accounts, and committing to a growth number, then building the team culture to reach it, energizes you.
- A track record of growing and retaining large accounts through trust and results, backed by strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing managers, including teams across multiple countries.
- Program management discipline across multi-site, multi-stakeholder rollouts.
- Fluency with data. You turn operational metrics into an ROI story an executive buys and a forecast a board trusts.
- Foodservice, contract catering, hospitality, facilities or sustainability experience is a strong plus. Knowing how contract foodservice companies buy and operate goes a long way.
