Vice President, Commercial Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President, Commercial Operations based in the United States.

The Vice President, Commercial Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership across a large, complex organization.
This executive role is responsible for aligning operational activities with broader business objectives, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and sustainable growth.
Working closely with executive leadership and department heads, you will establish organizational priorities, strengthen operating procedures, and drive continuous improvement.
You will oversee financial planning and performance, including annual budgets, monthly reviews, and corrective actions to maintain financial targets.
You will also ensure that teams consistently meet expectations across quality, compliance, customer service, productivity, and project management.

Accountabilities

As Vice President, Commercial Operations, you will oversee organization-wide operational planning and execution, ensuring that business priorities translate into measurable results. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Conduct operational reviews, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend initiatives to strengthen current and future performance.

• Develop short- and long-term operational goals aligned with organizational policies and strategic priorities.

• Collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional departments to support revenue objectives and business targets.

• Establish organizational goals, objectives, operating procedures, policies, and performance standards.

• Monitor departmental performance and evaluate results to ensure operational requirements and organizational objectives are consistently achieved.

• Lead the development and approval of annual budgets, track financial performance, and ensure financial targets are met.

• Oversee monthly financial reviews and ensure management teams identify, anticipate, and address budget deviations and operational challenges.

• Ensure all functional areas meet expectations related to quality, regulatory compliance, productivity, customer service, budgeting, and project management.

• Appoint, direct, and coordinate department heads, fostering accountability and effective leadership across the organization.

• Ensure compliance with internal standards, policies, and procedures.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced executive with a strong background in operational excellence, financial oversight, and organizational leadership. The following qualifications are required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

• At least 15 years of progressively responsible professional experience.

• Demonstrated success driving operational excellence, process improvement, and organizational performance.

• Proven experience leading, developing, and managing teams at senior levels.

• Strong financial and business management capabilities, including budget planning, financial monitoring, and performance evaluation.

• Ability to establish strategic objectives, translate them into operational plans, and drive execution across multiple departments.

• Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.

• Master's degree preferred.
