Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards
What You'll Do
Become a system expert on the platforms the Trust Company uses for operations, and look for efficiencies, innovations and new ways to make doing business easier.
Represent Riverview Trust Company with system vendors, internal partners and clients.
Handle complex client questions and requests within your area of knowledge, working with the client-facing team for direct communication.
Process income on assets, confirm trades and process settlements with limited supervision.
Help with daily processing and balancing, and start money movement, including wires and ACH transfers.
Pay recurring and one-time bills from client accounts, and deposit recurring and non-recurring cash items to client accounts.
Process or route client and account information, such as address changes, special instructions and report requests.
Maintain values and records on trust assets, and prepare and file annual and quarterly reports as required.
Balance external and internal accounts as assigned, such as custody accounts, mutual fund accounts and Trust Checking, and help prepare trust bank reconcilements.
Retrieve, calculate and enter daily money market rates and factors for investment sweeps and monthly dividend calculations.
Serve as a tax processing liaison with our providers, and handle securities movement between firms.
Check the Operations team's daily work for accuracy, and follow up on outstanding scheduled receipts, disbursements, transfers and loan payments.
Help keep all operational functions in good standing with vendors, internal partners and external examiners and auditors.
Recommend ways to improve the department, and provide full backup to the Trust team as needed.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
You build professional expertise in trust operations and apply company policies, procedures and best practices so daily processing is accurate and complete.
You resolve a variety of operational issues and provide second-level support on complex problems.
You work on problems of moderate scope and use judgment within established procedures to decide on the right action.
You receive very little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments.
What You Bring
3–5 years of experience in a trust-related business, banking (handling client relationships and transactions), accounting or operations, or an equivalent combination of education and related professional experience.
A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred. An associate degree, or a combination of education and related professional experience, will also be considered.
Proven ability to read and interpret procedure manuals and operating instructions, and to write routine reports and correspondence.
Proven ability to present information clearly and professionally to clients, customers and coworkers.
Strong math skills, including calculating rates, ratios and percentages.
Skill with MS Office and the ability to learn department-specific software quickly.
Excellent organization, attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
Flexibility in a changing work environment.
