About the role
Vista Innovative Solutions (VIS) is seeking a Trauma Registrar in San Antonio, TX to support trauma registry and clinical data abstraction activities. This is a full-time, remote position supporting the JTS Enterprise Support contract.
What You’ll Do:
Support trauma registry and clinical data abstraction activities.
Apply ICD-10, Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS), and NTDS definitions.
Support trauma data abstraction, validation, and coding.
Conduct data-quality audits.
Support trauma registry systems.
What You Bring:
Required:
Completion of trauma registry/registrar training.
Minimum 3 years of trauma registry, clinical data abstraction, or related health information experience.
Working knowledge of ICD-10, Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS), NTDS definitions, trauma data abstraction, validation, coding, data-quality audits, and registry systems.
Preferred:
Associate degree in health information management, nursing, healthcare, or related field.
Current trauma registry certification, such as CSTR.
DoDTR experience.
Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) coding course
ICD-10 coding certification
CSTR or CAISS Certification
