About the role
About Arlo:
At Arlo, we're passionate about creating innovative and reliable solutions that help people protect what matters most to them. Our team is dedicated to delivering products that exceed our customers' expectations, while always pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the world of protection technology. We believe that everyone deserves to feel safe and secure, whether they're at home or away, and we're committed to providing our customers with the peace of mind they need to live their lives without worry. Arlo’s deep expertise in AI- and CV-powered analytics, cloud services, user experience, product design, and innovative wireless and RF connectivity enables the delivery of a seamless, smart security experience for Arlo users that is easy to set up and interact with every day.
Arlo is a smart home security company that builds cameras, doorbells and cloud services protecting millions of homes. Our Partner Platform team turns Arlo's technology into a platform that service providers, security companies and device makers can build on, so Arlo reaches customers well beyond our own channels.
The team owns the APIs, cloud integrations, certification and launch processes that let partners embed Arlo video and security features in their own products. Every partner program is different. Each one is a joint build with another company's engineers, product leaders and executives.
The role
As a Technical Program Manager on Partner Platform, you own Arlo's partner programs end to end, from signed agreement to production launch and steady-state operations. You are the single accountable owner for scope, schedule, technical risk and partner relationship health on each program.
You will work across Arlo engineering, product, QA, security, legal, business development and support, and across your counterparts at the partner. You will be the person both companies trust to say what is really happening, what is at risk and what decision is needed next.
What you'll do
- Own partner programs end to end. Lead each program from kickoff through design, build, certification, launch and post-launch stabilization. Set scope, milestones and exit criteria, and hold teams to them.
- Drive technical alignment. Work daily with Arlo architects and partner engineers on integration design, API usage, authentication, data flows, video streaming, and performance and reliability targets. Surface dependencies and technical risks early.
- Run the cross-functional engine. Coordinate engineering, product, QA, security and privacy review, legal, marketing and support across several programs at once. Manage trade-offs and escalate with a clear recommendation.
- Be the partner's day-to-day counterpart. Run joint working sessions, steering reviews and executive updates. Build trust through transparent status, honest risk calls and reliable follow-through.
- Build repeatable process. Turn what you learn on each program into reusable onboarding playbooks, test and certification plans, launch checklists and reporting that make the next partner faster.
- Report with clarity. Maintain a single source of truth for plan, risks, decisions and dependencies. Give leadership concise status and forecast, including how each program supports commercial targets.
- Own launch readiness and operations handoff. Make sure monitoring, support runbooks, SLAs and incident paths are in place before go-live, and track partner health metrics afterward.
- Use AI and automation to scale. Apply modern tooling to status reporting, risk tracking and documentation.
What you'll bring
- 7+ years in technical program management, engineering or technical product delivery, including at least 3 years leading external or partner-facing integrations
- BS in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong command of Agile, Scrum, Kanban or hybrid delivery, plus Jira, Confluence and a program tool such as Smartsheet or MS Project. Experience in running scrum ceremonies for multiple engineering teams.
- Experience running several programs at once with competing priorities
- Clear written and verbal communication, including with directors, VPs and partner executives
- Sound judgment on scope, risk and trade-offs, and the confidence to say no or escalate early
- Track record of shipping API or cloud integrations with third parties, from design through launch
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth and identity, webhooks, cloud services and mobile or web applications, enough to challenge estimates and spot risk
- Ability to travel domestically 10-20% (Arlo offices and partner sites)
- Ability to work at early USA hours to service partners based in Europe
Nice to have
- Experience with camera or video streaming services, IoT or smart home, or security and monitoring platforms
- Experience with partner platforms such as telecom, broadband, retail or OEM channels, including certification and co-launch programs
- Familiarity with subscription SaaS metrics (activation, attach rate, churn) and with experimentation or beta programs
- Experience with AI/ML-enabled products, or with using AI tools to run programs more efficiently
- PMP, SAFe or similar certification
