POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Operational Planning & Control – Waterfront will lead the integrated demand, inventory planning, material readiness, and supply execution processes required to support the rapid growth of CIRCOR Navy (U.S.)’s Waterfront aftermarket repair center network. Serving as the Norfolk site lead, this role will own the planning and control system required to ensure the right inventory is available at the right location and time to meet customer demand, while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and turns.
The Senior Manager will lead Inventory Planning, Supply Chain Coordination & Expediting, Warehouse & Logistics, and Quality & Inspection resources and coordinate across Sales, Service Operations, Procurement, Engineering, and CIRCOR manufacturing sites. The role will translate demand into inventory requirements and lead a disciplined operating system—including material shortage and priority lists, supply control-tower cadences, KPIs, escalation paths, and recovery plans—to proactively manage constraints and drive execution and accountability.
As Waterfront expands to additional locations, this leader will build the team, processes, systems, and operating model required to scale the network. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a high-growth, entrepreneurial business within a KKR portfolio company, gain direct exposure to private equity value creation, and take significant ownership in scaling a critical growth platform while delivering tangible results in support of the U.S. Navy mission.
Key Responsibilities
1) Demand & Inventory Planning: Translate customer orders and projected demand into inventory requirements; establish inventory targets and replenishment plans to ensure availability and appropriate turns.
2) Material Readiness & Supply Execution: Own material readiness, shortage and priority lists, and execution against required dates across Waterfront.
3) Supply Control Tower & Recovery: Lead cross-functional control towers to identify constraints, establish priorities, escalate risks, and drive recovery across Procurement, CIRCOR factories, suppliers, Warehouse, and Quality.
4) Supply Chain Coordination: Lead Supply Chain Coordinators / Expeditors and interface with Procurement, factories, and suppliers to drive material commitments.
5) Inventory, Warehouse & Logistics: Own inventory availability, accuracy, and replenishment; lead receiving, storage, ERP transactions, material movement, and outbound logistics.
6) Quality & Inspection: Lead resources to ensure material, documentation, and repairs meet requirements.
7) Operational Management: Own KPIs and operating cadences to drive visibility, accountability, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
8) Site & Network Leadership: Serve as Norfolk site lead and build the team, processes, and operating model to scale the Waterfront repair center network.
