About the role
Job Title:
Specialist, Facilities PlannerJob Description:
The Role:
In this role you will develop professional facilities and maintenance planning expertise and apply policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues of moderate scope, exercising judgment within defined practices. As part of the Facilities Site Management team, you will play a critical role in the site maintenance work management process by ensuring the maintenance team is working on the right activities at the right time. You will develop and manage detailed maintenance plans; ensure labor, materials, tools, special equipment, and access requirements are available for safe and efficient execution; and support facility changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts to maximize the use of facilities and equipment while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes, and internal standards.
You will also coordinate with architecture and engineering firms on design criteria and drawings, prepare bid sheets and contracts, estimate design costs, and inspect construction and installation progress for conformance to drawings, specifications, schedules, and building and safety codes. At Entegris, we believe what we do is as important as how we do it, and we invest in employee development and a strong, values-driven culture.
What You'll Do:
- Develop detailed plans for preventive, predictive, corrective, and project maintenance activities, including scope, labor estimates, materials, tools, special equipment, permits, safety controls, and access requirements.
- Execute defined facilities workstreams, including preventive maintenance optimization, CMMS and asset data integrity, utility monitoring, and maintenance backlog management, to improve reliability and schedule readiness.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, procurement, EHS, and other stakeholders to prioritize work and support smooth execution of maintenance plans.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Coordinator and maintenance leadership to manage assigned work backlogs in alignment with safety, production, reliability, and business priorities.
- Plan, kit, and stage required parts and materials so maintenance personnel can execute work safely and efficiently.
- Maintain appropriate spare-parts safety stock levels, bills of material, and organized storage areas; partner with procurement and storeroom personnel to address shortages and obsolescence.
- Actively maintain the computerized maintenance management system, including asset data, preventive maintenance frequencies, job plans, task lists, bills of material, labor estimates, and work-order history. SAP experience is preferred.
- Review closed work orders and maintenance history to identify improvements to job plans, preventive maintenance strategies, material requirements, labor estimates, and recurring failure response.
- Analyze trends in downtime, energy and utility consumption, maintenance costs, backlog health, and work-order performance; recommend corrective actions and reliability improvements.
- Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve cost efficiency through effective planning, scheduling readiness, standardized work, and data-based decision-making.
- Support facility-related projects such as renovations, expansions, equipment installations, system upgrades, and production-equipment layout changes; coordinate contractors, schedules, and site access.
- Coordinate with outside contractors to support timely completion of maintenance work orders and project activities, including scope clarification, bid support, schedule alignment, and field execution.
- Coordinate with architecture and engineering firms on design criteria and drawings; support bid sheets, contracts, cost estimates, and inspection of construction or installation progress for conformance to drawings, specifications, schedules, and codes.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, drawings, maintenance plans, and other documentation needed for safe, reliable, and compliant facility operations.
- Participate in Job Safety Task Analysis and related pre-job planning to ensure work is performed effectively and safely.
- Help ensure facility systems and maintenance activities meet applicable building codes, regulatory requirements, safety expectations, and internal standards.
- Provide professional guidance to stakeholders and prepare reports, maintenance metrics, project updates, and recommendations for review by senior practitioners and site leadership.
What We Seek:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Facilities Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of related experience; an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent education and work experience.
- Equivalent work experience may include a minimum of 5 years in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment; maintenance planning experience is preferred.
- Progressive experience in maintenance planning, facilities engineering, capital project delivery, utilities and reliability, building systems operations, or a related technical environment appropriate to the level.
- Experience using a CMMS is required; experience with SAP is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices, work management, job planning, backlog management, bills of material, and maintenance inventory controls.
- Experience managing, organizing, and maintaining storeroom inventory, spare-parts data, and material availability.
- Working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety, and relevant codes and standards; familiarity with ISO systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical, project management, organization, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to coordinate contractors and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications and the ability to create clear reports, plans, and documentation.
- Motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with varying deadlines while maintaining effective progression to completion.
- Team-oriented approach with demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
PACE Values:
- People & Teamwork: Collaborate effectively across functions and with contractors, suppliers, and other partners.
- Accountability, Integrity & Trust: Exercise sound judgment, own results, and communicate transparently.
- Creativity & Innovation: Apply engineering, maintenance, and analytical tools to improve reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Dedication to Excellence: Deliver safe, compliant facilities, high-quality maintenance plans, and strong project outcomes.
Your Success Will Be Measured By:
- Ability to work with a diverse team in terms of background and skill sets to achieve greater levels of efficiency and manufacturing robustness.
- Ability to balance the short-term needs of the daily production environment with long-term maintenance, reliability, and project deliverables.
- Ownership of maintenance planning, CMMS data quality, backlog readiness, spare-parts planning, and inventory systems.
- Quality and completeness of maintenance job plans, including accurate scope, labor, materials, tools, safety requirements, and execution documentation.
- Use of data to inform decisions and support manufacturing excellence, facility reliability, cost control, and continuous improvement.
- Consistent coordination of internal resources and contractors to support safe, timely, and compliant work execution.
