Shipping Leader

POSITION PURPOSE

Coordinate and lead daily shipping operations to ensure customer orders are shipped safely, completely, and on time while complying with quality requirements, transportation regulations, documentation standards, and customer service objectives.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Coordinate and supervise daily domestic and international shipping activities.

• Ensure compliance with the daily shipping schedule according to customer delivery commitments.

• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Customer Service, and Trade Compliance teams to ensure product availability and timely release.

• Verify that all shipping documentation is complete, accurate, and available prior to shipment.

• Supervise product preparation, loading, packaging, and securing activities for transportation.

• Coordinate and follow up with carriers, freight providers, and logistics suppliers.

• Monitor loading schedules and on-time departure of shipments.

• Resolve operational issues related to shipments, shortages, damages, discrepancies, and delays.

• Ensure accurate execution of shipping transactions and inventory movements within SAP or other ERP systems.

• Maintain inventory accuracy throughout shipping operations.

• Participate in physical inventories and warehouse audits as required.

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase area productivity and efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and internal operational procedures.

• Lead, coach, and develop Shipping personnel.

• Establish priorities and balance workloads to support operational requirements.

• Monitor team performance and promote continuous improvement.

• Develop employee skills and cross-training capabilities.

NATURE AND SCOPE

This position is responsible for leading shipping operations and ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of finished goods to customers. The role works closely with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Customer Service, Logistics providers, and Trade Compliance teams to coordinate shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, resolve operational issues, and achieve customer service objectives. The position supervises Shipping personnel and is accountable for shipping performance, compliance, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

• Knowledge of SAP and ERP systems.

• Understanding of inventory control processes.

• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations.

• Experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics operations.

• Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments.

• Leadership and team management experience.

• Knowledge of material planning and warehouse administration.

• Basic English proficiency.
