Shipping and Receiving Clerk

 

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
• Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and store materials throughout the facility.
• Accurately enter and maintain shipping and receiving records in company systems.
• Prepare bills of lading, shipping labels, packing lists, and other required documentation.
• Package, label, and stage materials for shipment to customers, vendors, and other facilities.
• Report and document damaged, missing, or incorrect materials.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper storage, organization, and cycle counting activities.
• Monitor and replenish shipping supplies and materials as needed.
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely movement of materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory and shipping software.
• Ability to accurately read and complete shipping documents and inventory records.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and carriers.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
