About the role
- The Senior Technical Program Manager (Compliance Onboarding and Monitoring Lead) owns end-to-end onboarding and continuous compliance readiness outcomes for Microsoft Security services entering or operating within Azure and M365 compliance boundaries. This role coordinates onboarding milestones, validates readiness prerequisites, monitors control implementation and documentation health, and partners with service teams to resolve blockers. The ideal candidate brings an engineering, compliance, audit, or technical program management background; communicates effectively with technical audiences; and can manage service-level details while maintaining a broader view of compliance risk.
- As a Technical Program Manager II, you will support Microsoft Security's compliance programs by driving execution across regulatory impact assessments, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) assessments, external audits, evidence management, remediation tracking, and compliance process improvements. You will partner closely with engineering teams, Service Liaisons, Compliance Champs, Trust stakeholders, auditors, and senior program managers to identify compliance gaps, manage dependencies, track risks, define success metrics, and drive program outcomes across multiple services. This role requires strong program management, analytical problem solving, stakeholder management, technical communication, and the ability to translate compliance requirements into actionable engineering and operational workstreams. Success is measured through execution excellence, process improvement, risk reduction, audit readiness, and the ability to drive alignment across complex cross-functional environments.

- Continuously monitor service alignment with required controls and the health of supporting documentation using defined readiness mechanisms.
- Identify control implementation, documentation, and ownership gaps; coordinate remediation and track progress to closure.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the Microsoft Security compliance program by identifying process gaps, standardizing templates and playbooks, and supporting maturity models that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
TPM II:
- Drive compliance program execution across Microsoft Security by coordinating regulatory assessments, BCDR assessments, audit activities, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across engineering and compliance stakeholders.
- Support audit and certification readiness efforts for external and internal compliance programs, including ISO, SOC, FedRAMP, customer audits, and other trust-related assessments.
- Coordinate evidence collection, validation, documentation, and submission activities to ensure audit artifacts meet established quality, completeness, and compliance standards.
- Evaluate compliance and BCDR assessment results, identify gaps and risks, and partner with engineering teams to drive remediation planning and corrective actions through closure.
- Partner with Service Liaisons, Compliance Champs, Business Continuity Leads, Trust partners, and engineering teams to translate compliance requirements into actionable implementation plans and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain compliance metrics, dashboards, status reporting, and program health indicators to provide visibility into audit readiness, remediation progress, and compliance posture.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the Microsoft Security compliance program by identifying process gaps, standardizing templates and playbooks, and supporting maturity models that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
