About the role
TEAM
At Woven by Toyota (WbyT), the AD/ADAS Project and Program Management (PPM) Team enables the successful delivery of engineering technology that advances the company’s business goals. As a strategic partner to WbyT’s Engineering and Product functions, the PPM team leads the technical execution of the AD/ADAS portfolio, maintains the organization’s plan of record, and drives the velocity and agility of a highly cross-functional engineering organization distributed across multiple global locations.
Our team members come from a mix of autonomy, off-board ecosystem, hardware, and vehicle backgrounds, but we all share a common drive to enable the delivery of complex and safe autonomous engineering products to the world. We are problem solvers who make things happen by setting and communicating clear goals and supporting engineering teams in delivering through technical and organizational complexity.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sr Technical Program Manager to contribute to Woven’s Active Learning Loop program, which enables the continuous improvement of our autonomous driving stack across data pipelines, ML training, simulation, validation, and deployment.
The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity, engaging with senior leadership, and driving cross-functional programs across distributed, global teams with minimal direction. You are motivated by the challenge of bringing complex technology platforms to production and have a strong instinct for connecting technical execution to business outcomes.
This role demands proficiency in data and cloud infrastructure, machine learning platform systems and tools, simulation, and validation workflows. Additionally, it requires strong cross-functional communication skills and a data-driven approach to enhancing engineering speed and cost efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and drive complex cross-functional programs for data infrastructure, cloud, and ML platforms
- Manage program requirements, success metrics, and communications, ensuring alignment across the organization and with the broader autonomy roadmap
- Create and maintain an integrated plan of record across sprint, quarterly, and annual planning horizons, with clear critical paths to autonomy feature readiness and validation gates
- Lead cross-functional planning and high-velocity execution across the Active Learning Loop program, proactively resolving dependencies and blockers and driving timely, evidence-based decisions
- Continuously align with ML Engineering and Data Engineering teams and their leadership to ensure the right capabilities are delivered at the right time
- Identify and resolve systemic issues in the development workflow and continuously evolve TPM practices, including mentoring other TPMs focused on autonomy efficiency and validation outcomes
- Support cloud cost optimization efforts and compute procurement across the ALL program
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 4+ years of project and program management experience within a software, automotive, aerospace, robotics, or mobility-related industry
- Familiarity with the ML development ecosystem, including data pipelines, training workflows, simulation, or offline validation infrastructure
- Proven track record of leading large, cross-functional programs to successful delivery, involving multiple stakeholders
- Experience driving technical programs in ambiguous environments with high-level direction across distributed teams and diverse business cultures
- Experience establishing and evolving program operations and decision-making structures while adapting to team culture and operating constraints
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience in autonomous vehicle programs, automotive, or OEM/Tier 1 environments
- Experience in the development of autonomy features for L2/L4 systems
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese
- PMP/PMI or other project and program management certifications are welcome
