About the role
We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to own the technical product strategy and roadmap for the shared capabilities that power AI across our products. Your scope includes the shared services and tools that enable teams to build, deploy, and run AI applications and agents, along with integrations and AI security.
You will partner with Engineering and teams across the business to turn emerging technology and customer needs into reusable capabilities. Your work will help teams deliver reliable AI experiences faster, with the security and control our clients expect.
What You Will Do:
- Own and evolve the technical product strategy and roadmap for shared AI services, tools, integrations, and security, anticipating product needs as technology advances
- Improve how teams access and deploy AI models, working with Engineering and AI Quality to support model upgrades and changes in providers or capabilities
- Make it easier to build, test, deploy, and reuse AI applications and agents, including shared catalogs, versioning, and services that coordinate complex workflows
- Partner with business product teams on API and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations that connect our capabilities with customers' AI environments, and evolve priorities as integration needs develop
- Own the AI security product roadmap with Engineering and Security, covering access controls, client data protection, secure agent and tool use, and audit records
- Partner with Engineering on architecture and testable requirements for reliable execution, recovery, monitoring, and cost management
- Integrate AI Quality's evaluation tools and safety guardrails into development and production, and partner on defenses against prompt injection, unsafe actions, and data exposure
- Learn directly from teams using shared AI services, and drive adoption through self-service tools, clear onboarding, documentation, and routes for feedback and support
- As capabilities expand to clients, partner with our design and AI experience teams on usability and integration into customer workflows
- Measure and improve adoption, reuse, delivery speed, reliability, performance, and cost, connecting platform investments to customer outcomes
- Evaluate build, buy, and partner options, and prioritize technical debt and operational improvements alongside new capabilities
- Align priorities and dependencies across teams, adapt delivery plans, communicate trade-offs clearly, and mentor other Product Managers and Technical Product Managers
What You Need to Have:
- 7-10 years of experience building and shipping technology-powered products, with at least 3 years owning technical or platform product execution (e.g., Technical PM, Platform PM, IR/ML PM, Solution Architect, or Engineering Lead)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data/Information Systems, or a related technical field - or equivalent practical experience
- Strong understanding of modern software and platform architectures, including APIs, data models, cloud-based and distributed systems, and data infrastructure
- Proven ability to partner with senior engineers and technical leaders to influence architecture-level decisions and navigate complex technical trade-offs
- Demonstrated data-driven decision making, using performance metrics, experimentation, telemetry, and logs to guide product strategy and prioritization
- Experience producing clear, high-quality technical requirements, user stories, and system-level documentation
- Solid grasp of modern delivery and operational practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD, observability, reliability engineering, and technical debt management
- Familiarity with DevOps, SRE, security, and compliance considerations in production systems
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for cross-functional and non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to travel to other Bloomberg offices as needed
Compensation Range:
$180,000.00-$230,000.00Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process.
