The Senior Manager, Total Rewards leads GuideStone’s total rewards function, including compensation, benefits, wellness/well-being, recognition, and job architecture. This role sets direction for total rewards programs, owns salary grades, ranges, leveling, and market alignment, and ensures programs are competitive, fair, cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with enterprise goals. The role makes decisions based on business objectives and allocated resources, with latitude to achieve defined goals set by upper management, and manages the activities of first-level managers and/or supervisors with direct reports across compensation and benefits/well-being. The role partners with senior leadership and HR to ensure total rewards strategies are competitive, cost-effective, sustainable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise goals — driving impact, navigating complexity, building effective teams, and reinforcing GuideStone’s high-performance culture. We serve those that serve the Lord with the integrity of our hearts and the skillfulness of our hands. (Psalm 78:72)

- Direct market analysis and benchmarking using leading compensation surveys (e.g., Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, Radford, Culpepper) to keep pay competitive, internally equitable, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the design, competitiveness, administration, and communication of sales incentive programs in partnership with sales leadership and Finance.
Job Architecture & Annual Compensation Cycle:

- Maintain the job architecture framework, including job families, levels, titles, and job description standards, in partnership with HR Business Partners and division leadership.

Benefits & Well-Being Program Management:
- Oversee GuideStone’s employee health, welfare, retirement, and wellness/well-being programs, ensuring they meet team member needs, comply with applicable requirements, and support the enterprise’s financial objectives.
- Lead the annual benefits renewal and plan review, including plan design, employer contribution strategy, and cost modeling, in partnership with Finance, GuideStone’s benefit plan areas, and vendors.
- Evaluate benefit offerings and recommend enhancements such as financial wellness, mental health support, and work-life balance initiatives, balancing team member experience with stewardship.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Total Rewards team across compensation and benefits/well-being; set priorities, build capability (including cross-training), strengthen processes, manage performance, and ensure the team provides timely, accurate, data-informed guidance.
