Senior IT Auditor
Location: Wilmington, Delaware / Greater Philadelphia Area
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
Job Description
Qnity is building an Internal Audit function for the future, combining strong assurance with broader insight into technology, transformation, and emerging risk.
The Senior IT Auditor will play an important role on our global Internal Audit team, supporting Qnity’s public-company SOX responsibilities while gaining exposure to a broader portfolio of technology assurance work. This may include major system implementations, cybersecurity, operational technology, artificial intelligence, data and analytics, M&A, and other transformation initiatives.
This is not a SOX-only role. We are looking for someone with strong IT audit and technology-control fundamentals who is curious, adaptable, and interested in expanding beyond traditional ITGC testing. The Senior IT Auditor will collaborate with Internal Audit colleagues, technology and business leaders, specialized resources, and external auditors to evaluate risk and deliver meaningful, practical insights.
The role provides opportunities to progressively lead audit engagements and workstreams, broaden technical and business capabilities, and contribute to the continued evolution of Qnity’s Internal Audit function.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform and progressively lead risk-based IT audits and technology assurance workstreams, including planning, risk assessment, testing, reporting, and remediation follow-up.
- Support Qnity’s SOX program, including IT general controls, automated application controls, system-generated information, interfaces, and technology-related control changes.
- Participate in engagements involving cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, operational technology, cloud, data, resilience, and other emerging risks, working alongside specialized resources where deeper technical expertise is required.
- Support assurance over major system implementations and transformations, including SDLC, data migration, access and security, testing, go-live readiness, and post-implementation activities.
- Participate in technology-related aspects of M&A, integrations, divestitures, and other significant business changes, as applicable.
- Evaluate technology risks and controls, identify root causes, and develop practical recommendations that strengthen risk management, resilience, and business performance.
- Use data analytics, automation, and emerging audit technologies to improve audit coverage, efficiency, and insight.
- Build effective relationships across technology and business functions and translate technical matters into clear business implications.
- Coordinate with external auditors on technology-related SOX scoping, testing, evidence, reliance, findings, and remediation.
- Collaborate across the global Internal Audit team, share knowledge, and contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodology and technology-risk capabilities.
Education & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in IT audit, technology risk, internal or external audit, technology controls, cybersecurity/GRC, or a related field, with demonstrated experience independently executing significant portions of audit or technology-risk engagements.
- Strong working knowledge of IT general controls, technology risks, internal controls, and audit methodology, including experience in SOX environments.
- Experience working with enterprise applications and technology environments. SAP or another major ERP platform experience is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, business acumen, and judgment skills, with the ability to understand how technology supports business objectives and translate technical issues into meaningful business risk.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with business and technology stakeholders, Internal Audit colleagues, specialized resources, and external auditors.
- Intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a demonstrated interest in developing capabilities beyond traditional ITGC testing.
Preferred
- Experience with a Big Four accounting firm or other large, global public accounting or professional services firm is preferred.
- Professional certification such as CISA, CIA, CPA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or another relevant credential, or progress toward certification.
- Experience in a complex, global, publicly traded, manufacturing, technology, semiconductor/electronics, or similar organization.
- Exposure to one or more areas such as cybersecurity, system implementations, cloud, operational technology, AI/data governance, analytics, or M&A.
- Familiarity with recognized frameworks such as COBIT, COSO, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or ISO 27001.
- Experience with analytics or visualization tools such as SQL, Power BI, or comparable technologies.
