About the role
The Senior Bilingual Copywriter will be responsible for developing, writing, editing and adapting high-quality content in both Arabic and English to support the company's institutional communications, strategic initiatives, campaigns and events.
The role requires exceptional written proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic and professional British English, with a strong understanding of linguistic accuracy, cultural nuances, government communication standards and institutional protocols.
Requirements

- Create compelling headlines, key messages, captions, campaign content, video scripts and event-related communications.
- Adapt content and messaging to suit different audiences, communication channels and institutional requirements.
B. Corporate and Leadership Communications
- Draft, edit and refine official press releases, news articles, media statements, speeches, talking points, interview responses and executive messages.
- Prepare high-quality written materials for senior leadership, official announcements, public engagements and institutional events.
- Ensure all leadership communications reflect the appropriate tone, messaging, protocol and institutional positioning.
C. Translation and Editorial Management
- Translate and adapt content between Arabic and English while preserving the original meaning, tone, context and intended communication impact.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across Arabic and English versions, avoiding literal translations where cultural or linguistic adaptation is required.
- Review, proofread and edit written materials to maintain excellent grammar, clarity, readability and terminology consistency.
- Develop, maintain and update editorial style guides and bilingual terminology glossaries.
- Review final designed materials, including layouts and digital publications, to identify linguistic errors before publication.
D. Research and Content Verification
- Research relevant subjects and verify facts, figures, statistics, names, references and official terminology.
- Coordinate with relevant internal teams to ensure content accuracy and alignment with approved institutional messaging.
- Maintain awareness of developments relating to gender balance, women's empowerment, equality, inclusion and sustainable development.
E. Stakeholder Coordination and Content Management
- Coordinate with internal departments, designers, communication teams and external agencies to deliver content according to approved briefs and deadlines.
- Support the preparation and implementation of editorial plans and content calendars.
- Manage multiple assignments, urgent requests, revisions and competing priorities efficiently.
- Follow established review and approval procedures before any material is published or distributed externally.
- Maintain an organised archive of approved content and ensure confidentiality of institutional information.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, Languages, Public Relations or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in professional copywriting, bilingual content development, editorial work or corporate communications. Ideally, 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience producing original, high-quality written content independently in both Arabic and English.
- Proven experience preparing press releases, official announcements, speeches, leadership messages and social media content.
- Experience in government communications, public-sector organisations or institutional communication environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of formal Arabic writing, professional British English and the cultural nuances of both languages.
- Familiarity with government communication protocols, official titles, forms of address and institutional terminology.
- Knowledge of gender balance, women's empowerment, equality, inclusion and sustainable development topics is an advantage.
- Experience developing bilingual editorial guidelines, terminology glossaries and quality-control processes is preferred.
Required Skills and Competencies
