SAP Finance AI & Automation Lead (80-100%) (m/f/d)

Based in Baden, Switzerland, this position plays a key role in accelerating the practical adoption of AI, automation and intelligent technologies across Accelleron’s Finance & Controlling landscape. You will join Accelleron’s global IS organization and work closely with Finance Transformation, SAP Application Owners, the AI Center of Excellence, Data & Analytics teams, Global Process Owners and external partners.

Your Responsibilities:

AI, Automation, and Technology Innovation

• Scout, assess and translate emerging SAP Business AI, SAP Joule, SAP Build, SAP BTP, Microsoft Copilot and Finance automation capabilities into practical use cases.
• Identify high-value opportunities to automate Finance & Controlling processes, improve exception handling and enhance decision support.
• Run proof of concepts, evaluate business value and recommend adoption opportunities aligned with Accelleron’s enterprise architecture.
• Act as the Finance & Controlling AI and automation subject matter expert within the IS organization.

Partnership with Finance Transformation

• Partner with the Finance Transformation Lead and Global Process Owners to shape a focused Finance AI and automation portfolio.
• Translate business requirements into solution concepts, delivery plans and implementation options.
• Support business case development by assessing value, effort, dependencies, risks and scalability.
• Promote a common approach to Finance innovation across SAP platforms and connected applications.

Solution Delivery

• Lead or coordinate the implementation of approved Finance AI and automation initiatives from concept to operational handover.
• Work across SAP Application Owners, AI CoE, Data & Analytics, integration specialists, Global Process Owners and external partners to deliver robust solutions.
• Ensure solutions follow security, compliance, auditability, supportability and enterprise architecture standards.
• Support testing, deployment, training, change enablement and transition to RUN support.

Key Focus Areas

• SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA Finance landscapes, including SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and Accelleron’s strategic SAP transformation initiatives.
• Finance process automation, intelligent workflows, exception management and AI-enabled decision support.
• SAP Joule, SAP Business AI, SAP Build, SAP BTP and related enterprise automation capabilities.
• Connected Finance applications, data-driven insights and scalable integration patterns.

Reporting to the IS Manager Finance, you will identify high-value use cases, evaluate emerging technologies and help deliver scalable AI and automation solutions across SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and connected Finance applications. The role combines SAP Finance process knowledge, technology curiosity and delivery ownership to support Accelleron’s Finance transformation, improve productivity and promote the reuse of enterprise platforms rather than isolated local solutions.

Your Background:

Experience

• At least eight years of experience in SAP Finance, SAP consulting, ERP transformation or related fields.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or rollouts, preferably including SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and SAP Activate methodology.
• Strong knowledge of Finance & Controlling processes in a manufacturing environment, ideally including Product Costing, Material Ledger and integration with production, supply chain, procurement and sales.
• Expertise in delivering automation, workflow, integration, analytics or AI-enabled solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with handling global stakeholders, external partners and cross-functional delivery teams.

Technical Skills

• SAP Finance processes and architecture, including SAP ECC and S/4HANA (Public Cloud preferred).
• SAP BTP, SAP Build, SAP Joule or SAP Business AI.
• Process automation, workflow, integration and analytics concepts.
• Understanding of AI, agent-based solutions and practical adoption patterns in Finance.
• Ability to assess solution fit, scalability, security, compliance and supportability.
