Job Description
Why Join Sodexo?
At Sodexo, we're more than a village provider. We create places where people feel connected, supported, and at home while working away from their families.
We're seeking an energetic and people-focused Resident Experience Coordinator to help bring our villages to life across the Chinchilla and Dalby region. This is a unique role combining community engagement, social activities, events, and hands-on village support to create memorable experiences for our residents.
What's the Role?
As a Resident Experience Coordinator, you'll be the face of resident engagement within the village, helping foster a welcoming and inclusive community environment. You'll coordinate activities, encourage participation, support resident wellbeing, and ensure shared spaces remain inviting and enjoyable.
No two days will be the same. From organising sporting competitions and themed events to gathering resident feedback and supporting village operations, you'll play a key role in enhancing everyday life for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver social, recreational, and community-based activities.
- Build positive relationships with residents through genuine daily interaction.
- Promote participation in village events and facilities.
- Assist with event planning, set-up, delivery and pack-down.
- Gather resident feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain welcoming, clean, and well-presented communal spaces.
- Report maintenance, safety, or presentation concerns.
- Support a safe, inclusive, and engaging village culture.
About You
You are a natural people person who enjoys connecting with others and creating positive experiences. You bring energy, initiative, and a proactive approach to engaging diverse groups of people.
You'll also have:
- Experience in hospitality, community engagement, recreation, events, customer service, or remote-site environments.
- Experience coordinating activities, events, or group programs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- A hands-on approach and willingness to support operational tasks.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
To Be Successful, You'll Need:
- Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or unrestricted Australian working rights (No Working Holiday Visa applications, please)
- To reside in or around the Chinchilla region
- The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, including a National Police Check
