Norfolk Iron & Metal is looking for a Quality Technician to join our Temper Mill team. No previous lab or testing experience is required. If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working with equipment, and willing to learn, we’ll provide the training you need to succeed.
This is a hands-on position where you’ll test steel samples, operate specialized equipment, and help make sure our products meet customer requirements.

What You’ll Do
- Operate testing equipment to verify products meet customer requirements
- Prepare samples for testing
- Operate equipment including a water jet and precision grinder
- Help maintain testing and department equipment
- Accurately follow testing and quality procedures
- Cross-train in other positions to expand your skills
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
