Project Supervisor

Summary / Objective

The Project Supervisor oversees daily field operations, including Field Technicians, production, and equipment, ensuring project goals, productivity expectations, and safety requirements are met. This position works closely with the Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute project activities.

Essential Functions

• Supervise daily field operations, including technician assignments, productivity, and equipment utilization.
• Enforce company safety policies and procedures consistently and fairly.
• Coordinate work assignments, maps, work areas, and equipment to maintain a continuous workflow and minimize production delays.
• Leverage technology, including GPS, breadcrumb applications, and routing tools, to improve efficiency and maximize productivity.
• Provide ongoing training and coaching to Field Technicians; identify and address training needs as projects progress.
• Maintain accurate equipment and asset records and oversee inventory management.
• Conduct monthly vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, and ensure compliance with company vehicle-use policies.
• Assist the Project Manager with project planning, scheduling, and coordination as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility

Supervises a variable number of direct reports based on client requirements and project needs.

Work Environment

Work is performed both outdoors in varied weather conditions and terrain and in a traditional office environment.

Physical Demands

The position requires regular communication and the ability to perform administrative tasks, including filing and handling documents. Employees must be able to walk approximately 8–12 miles per day, operate a motor vehicle, and perform routine physical activities associated with field operations.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

Full-time, salaried position. Generally, Monday through Friday, with hours varying based on client requirements and project workload. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Travel

Limited overnight travel is expected.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of project supervision, field supervision, or team lead experience.
• Strong customer service and client relationship skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Project, as well as scheduling and project-tracking software.
