About the role
SpecPro Sustainment & Environmental is seeking a Project Scheduler to provide scheduling and performance management support to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Honolulu District, Programs and Project Management Division (PPMD), in Hawaii.
The Project Scheduler will support planning and design of civil works and military construction projects by developing, analyzing, and maintaining integrated, resource-loaded Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules. This position supports design execution, technical reviews, project performance tracking, and construction acquisition milestones.
What You’ll Do
Develop, evaluate, maintain, and update integrated, resource-loaded CPM project schedules using Primavera P6 and applicable USACE project management systems.
Integrate design disciplines, technical review cycles, permitting and regulatory requirements, design quality-control processes, and other dependencies into project schedules.
Monitor schedule progress, logic, resource assignments, and key milestones related to design completion and construction acquisition.
Conduct critical path and schedule impact analyses; identify potential delays, conflicts, risks, and opportunities for Government consideration.
Perform resource analysis to evaluate workload, schedule feasibility, and resource allocation across project activities.
Enter and maintain schedule data and generate Primavera reports to support project tracking, performance management, and decision-making.
Develop clear schedule and performance reports, dashboards, and analyses using Microsoft Power BI and other Microsoft applications.
Work within the USACE Program and Project Management Information Suite (PROMIS), including the transition from Primavera P6 to Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), as required.
Coordinate schedule information with applicable USACE systems, including the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) and RMS as it transitions to the Construction Management Platform (CMP).
Communicate schedule findings, project impacts, and recommended actions to Government project managers and multidisciplinary technical teams.
What You Bring
Required:
Proficiency in Primavera Project Manager/P6 for developing, managing, and updating resource-loaded CPM schedules for A-E design projects.
Minimum of three (3) full years of experience using Primavera Project Manager/P6 to manage and update resource-loaded CPM project schedules for Architect-Engineer design of vertical or horizontal construction projects.
Ability to perform critical path, schedule logic, and resource analyses and clearly communicate the results.
Demonstrated experience generating and interpreting reports in Primavera and using Microsoft Power BI and other Microsoft applications to develop reports and present project performance information.
Understanding of A-E design scheduling for vertical or horizontal construction projects, including design reviews, quality-control activities, and major project milestones.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing schedule priorities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Government personnel and multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred:
Experience with USACE project management and financial systems (PROMIS, Oracle Primavera Cloud, CEFMS, RMS, or CMP) is desirable; familiarity with system transitions is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform desk work for extended periods, including sitting and using a computer.
Reasonable accommodations will be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
Requires sufficient vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform related tasks.
Work Environment
Work supporting the USACE Honolulu District area of responsibility in Hawaii; specific worksite and telework arrangements will be determined.
Primarily office-based scheduling, coordination, and computer work; occasional site visits or meetings may be required based on project needs.
