About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Production Lead who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and keeping a manufacturing team moving toward its goals.
In this role, you’ll provide day-to-day leadership to production operators while helping ensure safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency expectations are met. You’ll also serve as a technical resource on the floor, assisting with equipment setup, troubleshooting, process improvements, and other manufacturing needs.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong mechanical aptitude and production experience and is ready to take on greater leadership responsibility.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and provide day-to-day direction to production employees across assigned manufacturing lines.
- Help ensure the team meets production goals, metrics, and daily priorities.
- Promote a safety-first environment and ensure required safety procedures and practices are followed.
- Monitor product quality and help identify and address issues on the production floor.
- Provide hands-on technical support with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and production processes.
- Partner with the Production Supervisor and Manager to improve productivity and efficiency through Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of equipment, processes, and operations across the manufacturing floor.
- Assist with production reporting, documentation, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance as outlined in work instructions.
- Serve as a resource for production employees, helping answer questions, resolve issues, and keep work moving safely and efficiently.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous manufacturing, production, or related experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and an ability to troubleshoot production processes and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, support, or provide direction to others.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including email, reporting systems, and ERP software.
- Ability and willingness to learn multiple production processes and work areas.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
This is an active, hands-on manufacturing role. Team members must be able to:
- Stand and walk for approximately 8 to 10 hours during a shift.
- Shifts are fixed - No rotations!
- Consistently lift up to 25 pounds independently.
- Work in a relaxed (compared to most around us) warehouse/manufacturing environment.
- Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses.
- Safely work around production equipment and machinery.
Why This Role?
This position is a great next step for an experienced production employee who enjoys being the person others turn to for help. You’ll have the opportunity to lead people, solve technical problems, improve manufacturing processes, and build your leadership skills while playing an important role in the success of the production team.
