About the role
The Product Marketing Leader is a senior marketing leadership role within the Commercial Excellence and Marketing organization for META. The role owns the regional product-marketing strategy and translates market, customer and competitive insights into differentiated positioning, go-to-market plans and integrated marketing programs that accelerate profitable growth across priority industry segments.
The incumbent establishes a consistent approach to market segmentation, opportunity prioritization, buyer personas, customer journeys, value propositions, messaging and portfolio strategy while ensuring relevance to the region’s diverse markets, channels, standards and regulations. The role brings structured Voice of Customer and competitive intelligence into regional and global product strategy and investment decisions.
Working across Product Divisions, Sales, Pricing, Channel Marketing, Demand Generation, Product Marketing Communications, Marketing Operations and the Global/EMEA Segment Content Marketing and Campaigns Center of Excellence, the leader owns the product-marketing brief and end-to-end launch strategy. This includes target-audience definition, positioning and messaging, channel strategy, demand-generation planning, sales readiness, launch execution and post-launch performance optimization.
The role is accountable for measurable marketing and commercial outcomes, including marketing-influenced pipeline and revenue, product adoption, portfolio growth, campaign engagement and conversion, sales-enablement effectiveness and return on marketing investment. The leader also develops the capabilities, processes and talent required for a high-performing, insight-led and data-driven Field Product Marketing organization.
What you’ll do:
- Product Marketing Strategy and Planning: Own the META product marketing strategy and annual plan, aligned with business and marketing priorities. Lead market segmentation, opportunity sizing and prioritization across industries, applications, customer groups and channels. Translate growth priorities into portfolio, go-to-market and integrated marketing plans, directing investment toward the highest-value opportunities.
- Customer, Market and Competitive Insights: Build regional market intelligence covering customer needs, buying behavior, market trends, regulations, competitor offers, pricing and emerging opportunities. Guide Field Product Marketing teams in Voice of Customer research and translate insights into recommendations for product development, portfolio, positioning and commercial strategy. Represent META market needs in regional and global product-line decisions.
- Positioning, Messaging and Customer Experience: Lead the development of buyer personas, customer journeys, differentiated value propositions, positioning and messaging for priority segments and offers. Translate product capabilities into compelling customer benefits and consistent narratives across campaigns, digital channels, events, sales and partner communications.
- Go-to-Market and Product Launch Leadership: Own product marketing briefs and go-to-market strategies for priority META launches. Define target audiences, market readiness, positioning, messaging, channel strategy, pricing inputs, demand generation, sales readiness and success measures. Lead cross-functional launch governance and monitor performance to improve adoption, pipeline, revenue and profitability.
- Integrated Campaigns and Demand Generation: Partner with Demand Generation, Channel Marketing, Product Marketing Communications and the Global/EMEA Segment Content Marketing and Campaigns Center of Excellence to develop integrated customer lifecycle campaigns. Provide audience insights, value propositions, messaging, content briefs and offer strategies to drive awareness, engagement, demand and conversion. Ensure global campaigns are effectively localized for META markets and channels.
- Portfolio and Product Life-Cycle Management: Partner with Product Divisions and Sales to assess market gaps, product-market fit, portfolio competitiveness and pricing. Develop growth plans for priority offers, customers, markets and channels. Support portfolio introductions, optimization and phase-outs while protecting customer continuity, revenue and profitability. Drive adoption of the Business Target Agreement process across divisions and sales.
- Sales and Partner Enablement: Translate product strategy into customer-focused sales plays, messaging guides, competitive battlecards, training and partner enablement. Equip sales and channel teams to communicate differentiated value, address customer needs and convert opportunities. Measure effectiveness and continuously improve enablement based on field feedback and performance.
- Performance Management and Team Leadership: Define objectives, KPIs and operating rhythms for Field Product Marketing across META. Track pipeline and revenue impact, launch adoption, portfolio growth, campaign performance, enablement effectiveness and marketing ROI. Use insights to optimize plans and resources. Coach and develop Product Marketing teams while fostering collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
