SUMMARY
Principal AI Performance Architect
Dell's Client Product Group (CPG) is looking for a Principal System Performance Architect to join the Thermal, Power, Performance, and Acoustics (TPPA) team in Austin, TX. You will build the forward-looking performance view for an assigned line of business (LOB) within Dell's client PC portfolio, forecasting platform performance targets, competitive shifts, and workload bottlenecks before product definition locks, so Dell sets requirements with its silicon, OS, and ODM partners. The team works at the forefront of technology, driven by a passion for innovation, harnessing each other's strengths, & radiates a strong sense of camaraderie.
You will use AI tools to scale analysis and benchmarking, and you will own the judgment-based decisions: performance target-setting, architecture trade-offs, and partner negotiations.
Join us to do the best work of your career & make a profound social impact as a Principal AI Performance Architect on our TPPA team in Austin, TX.
What you'll achieve
Dell's Engineering Mission is to deliver differentiated and disruptive products, experiences, and solutions that excite our sales teams, stun our competition, and delight our customers. Dell supports continued learning through tools and courses that build functional, technical, and leadership skills.
You will:
Conceive and define performance concepts and targets for next-generation platforms within your LOB or platform family
Lead workload characterization and bottleneck modeling for preconcept platforms, using AI tools for benchmarking and analysis
Translate forecasts into architecture decisions and trade-offs across performance, power efficiency, thermals, acoustics, and battery life
