About the role
Centurion is proud to be the provider of healthcare services to the Florida Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a full-time Physician to join our team at Columbia Correctional Institution located in Lake City, Florida.
The Medical Director provides medical assessments and evaluations, provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.

Qualifications
• Active, unrestricted FL MD/DO license or ability to obtain one required
• Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with prescriptive authority
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check
