Parts Delivery Driver/ Parts Warehouse Associate - 2nd Shift

What You Will Be Doing:

As the Parts Delivery Driver/ Parts Warehouse Associate you will be safely picking, loading and delivering parts to customers and other Yancey locations with a high degree of customer service.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Safely operate assigned non-CDL delivery truck or van.
• Pick parts from inventory according to order tickets, and verify part numbers and quantities.
• Safely load parts onto the delivery vehicle, using a forklift and pallet jack as needed, and secure them for transport.
• Interface with customers at delivery and pickup, confirming orders and answering questions in a professional manner.
• Maintain safe driving record and follow all safety guidelines for operating and loading equipment including the use of proper PPE at all times.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and routes, using electronic delivery software as required.
• Inspect the vehicle and parts for safe operation, condition and cleanliness as a final check before leaving each location.
• Verify parts against order paperwork at delivery and obtain required customer signatures.
• Inspect parts for damage before loading and after unloading, and take pictures to document any issues.
• Demonstrate customer service in a positive manner with all customers, both external and internal.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should be able to safely operate the assigned delivery vehicle and maintain a clean driving record. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to keep accurate records and correctly pick and load parts is essential to this position as well.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Clean driving record and the ability to obtain and maintain a DOT card.
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack.
• Ability to manage delivery software via electronic tablets.
• Customer service oriented with the willingness to go above and beyond expectations with a great attitude.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively and occasionally higher amounts with assistive devices
• Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving and multitasking
• Safety conscious and customer focused
• Be self-driven and take pride in your work

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Prior experience in a warehouse environment
