About the role
Our Story
Founded in 2008, Hightower is a wealth management firm that provides investment, financial and retirement planning services to individuals, foundations and family offices, as well as 401(k) consulting and cash management services to corporations. Hightower’s capital solutions, operational support services, size and scale empower its vibrant community of independent-minded wealth advisors to grow their businesses and help their clients achieve their financial vision. Based in Chicago with advisors across the U.S., we operate as a registered investment advisor (RIA).
The Role
We are seeking an Onboarding Specialist to own the transition from prospect to fully onboarded and funded client, delivering a seamless and consistent experience as Hightower Signature Wealth builds out its centralized onboarding model.
You will partner closely with Business Development Officers, advisors, and internal teams to guide new clients through the onboarding process, coordinate account opening and funding activities, manage follow-up, and resolve blockers. You will serve as a primary point of contact throughout onboarding, ensuring clients understand next steps and experience a smooth transition into their ongoing relationship with Hightower Signature Wealth.
If you are client-focused, process-driven, and energized by helping clients navigate complex financial processes, this is an opportunity to help shape the onboarding experience at Hightower Signature Wealth.
What You'll Do

Execute standardized onboarding workflows and checklists to deliver a consistent client experience
Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve blockers that delay account opening or funding
Ensure a smooth handoff to the advisor and ongoing service team once onboarding is complete
Track onboarding performance, including onboarding cycle time and time to funding
What You'll Bring
1-3+ years of experience in financial services, preferably in client service, operations, onboarding, or account administration
Understanding of the wealth management industry and the needs of high-net-worth clients
Experience supporting client onboarding, account opening, asset transfers, or related client service processes
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple client workflows simultaneously
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills with clients and internal teams
Experience with CRM and onboarding/documentation systems; Salesforce experience preferred
Strong process discipline with a focus on accuracy, responsiveness, and timely completion
