About the role
ASRC Federal Technology Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Software Engineer with a minimum of a Secret security clearance and strong Microsoft .NET experience to design, develop, test, and sustain secure enterprise applications and services. You will work across the full software lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through deployment and operations, within an Agile and DevSecOps environment. The role suits an engineer who writes clean, maintainable code and thinks about the whole system, not just the next feature.
This position is remote, candidate must be U.S. based. Required work schedule is Pacific Standard Time. Working Hours (8am to 5pm PST).
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain applications and APIs in C# using .NET 6/8+, ASP.NET Core (MVC, Web API, Razor/Blazor), and Entity Framework Core.
Model data and write performant queries, stored procedures, and migrations in Microsoft SQL Server.
Build and consume RESTful services and integrate with enterprise systems and third-party APIs.
Write unit and integration tests (xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest) and support automated testing in CI/CD pipelines.
Contribute to build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub Actions; support containerized deployments where used.
Apply secure coding standards (OWASP Top 10) and remediate static-analysis and vulnerability-scan findings.
Modernize and refactor legacy .NET Framework applications toward current .NET and cloud-ready architectures.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver fixes on schedule.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and technical documentation.
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus 8-10 years of software development experience (additional years of relevant work experience may substitute for a degree).
4+ years of hands-on C#/.NET development, including ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework.
Strong SQL Server skills, including T-SQL and database design.
Experience building and securing RESTful APIs.
Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
Working knowledge of a front-end framework (Angular, React, or Blazor) and HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
Active DoW Secret security clearance or higher. Candidates without a minimum of a Secret clearance will not be considered.
U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with Azure or AWS services, including government cloud regions.
Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with RMF/DISA STIG requirements for application security.
Experience migrating .NET Framework applications to modern .NET.
CompTIA Security+ or another DoD 8140-qualifying certification; Microsoft Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204).
