The Opportunities
Customer Marketing – 3 Positions
Our Customer Marketing team focus on influencing consumer behaviour at the point of purchase. Using insights into shopper motivations, we create targeted promotions, displays and digital touchpoints that drive sales, strengthen brand engagement and guide purchasing decisions. Depending on your placement, you will support either On-Trade or Off-Trade customers, with opportunities to take ownership of projects and contribute your own ideas. Read more about both areas below:
On-Trade Customer Marketing
You will support our national field sales teams working with pubs, bars and restaurants across England, Scotland and Wales. Day to day, you could be developing artwork, menus and point-of-sale materials, coordinating promotions and working with agencies, suppliers and category teams to bring our brands to life in venues. You will help plan resources, support budgets, review competitor activity and contribute to trade shows, brand days and new product launches. Building relationships with colleagues across the commercial team will be an important part of the role, alongside contributing ideas that help customers engage their consumers. You will also extract and analyse sales data to assess the success and return on investment of activity, so strong Excel skills, analytical thinking and commercial curiosity are essential.
Off-Trade Customer Marketing
You will support a variety of projects for our grocery, wholesale and convenience customers across the UK, helping develop display units, in-store materials, targeted promotions and digital touchpoints. Working with our internal design studio, you will brief and develop assets for both trade- and consumer-facing media. You could also coordinate gift-with-purchase promotions and competitions, work with agencies, suppliers and category teams, support budgets and contribute to new product launches. Through visits to supermarkets and convenience stores, you will conduct competitor and customer reviews to understand how our brands appear in retail environments and identify opportunities for improvement. You will extract and analyse sales data to assess performance and return on investment, so confidence working with numbers, strong Excel skills and analytical thinking are essential. You will also support day-to-day team coordination, including organising weekly meetings and agendas, taking minutes, raising purchase orders, and arranging samples and couriers.
Trade Marketing
You will support trade marketing activity across a varied portfolio of brands and customers within Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail (GTR), including European border shops, ferries, diplomatic catalogues, global customer accounts and wholesale partners. Day to day, you will manage requests for marketing assets, clarify requirements with the colleagues making those requests, brief designers and coordinate the production and ordering of materials such as posters and banners through online print services. You will also maintain Excel trackers, coordinate the delivery of tasting stock and help develop ways to quantify the return on investment of marketing activity. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role, with a strong emphasis on numerical analysis, accurate administration and process-driven coordination, alongside opportunities to contribute creative ideas. A business background, strong Excel skills and confidence working with numbers will help you succeed. You will bring a proactive, hardworking approach, strong organisational skills and the confidence to communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels, including senior stakeholders—asking for missing information, confirming priorities and following up to keep work moving.
Digital Marketing
Help bring Pernod Ricard UK’s brands to life online, supporting digital campaigns, social media, content creation and influencer activity. Working with brand teams and agency partners, you could help develop creative briefs, coordinate content calendars, adapt assets for different digital channels and support campaign launches. You will also gain exposure to paid online advertising and website activity, using audience insights and performance data to track results, understand what engages consumers and suggest improvements. Keeping up with digital trends, emerging platforms and competitor activity, you will contribute fresh ideas while building practical skills in campaign coordination, reporting and digital storytelling.
Brand Marketing (3 Positions)
We have three brand marketing roles across our businesses, where you will support the day-to-day development of one of our many famous brands, helping bring its strategy to life through creative campaigns and engaging consumer experiences. From market research and consumer insights to packaging, communications and performance tracking, you will gain broad exposure to how brands are built and developed. Working with teams across the business and external agencies, you could help coordinate projects, develop campaign materials, track budgets and support brand partnerships and events. An interest in sport and culture will help you spot opportunities to keep the brand relevant, distinctive and connected with its audience.
Brand Experience & Partnerships
Working across Pernod Ricard UK’s brands, you will help build connections with communities and culture through partnerships, campaigns and live experiences across the arts, sport and entertainment. Working with agencies, suppliers and venues, you will support events, product launches and sampling campaigns, coordinate logistics and collaborate with the social team on content and influencer activity. You will also track cultural trends, maintain a cultural calendar, produce our regular trends bulletin and support project administration, budgets and reporting, with opportunities to manage your own projects as your experience grows.
Culture & Creative
Explore the connection between brands and culture at Chivas Brothers, where you will support creative campaigns and content. Researching trends across music, fashion, sport and design, you will gather inspiration and contribute ideas to creative briefs. Working with brand teams and agency partners, you could support content shoots, coordinate campaign materials and help prepare creative assets for marketing teams around the world.
