Maintenance Electrician - Days 7 am-3:20 pm

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join the Rochelle, IL team.

Pay: Starting at $35.00 per hour

Shift: Day Shift 7 am -3:20 Pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete workorders (WOs) as prioritized by the Maintenance Manager with primary emphasis on those involving electrical systems (e.g., PLCs, wiring, relays, contactors, switches, fuse boxes, etc.).
• Diagnose electrical problems and determine how to correct them by checking prints, repair manuals, parts catalogs, and/or calling the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
• Complete daily plant walkthroughs and daily inspections (e.g., boiler, air compressor, drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, filters) to ensure that machines are running smoothly, and to suggest repairs before complete failure, or immediately repair equipment with safety concerns.
• Work with Production Personnel or other plant staff (e.g., Process Engineer, Safety Manager) when testing equipment to diagnose malfunctions or ensure proper component functionality.
• Repair/replace wiring and electronic components as deemed necessary, and complete required disassembly and reassembly of equipment as required to complete such electrical work.
• Record maintenance and repair work performed on the WO and on daily shift reports.
• Adjust, modify, repair or replace process control instruments such as the thermocouples, chart recorders, temperature controllers, motor encoders, bin level sensors, proximity sensors, etc.
• As required, operate common hand and power tools.
• Assist and work with external contractors, both electrical and non-electrical, working in the facility.
• Complete non-electrical WOs, as assigned or as necessary, including general building maintenance, repair of structures, basic plumbing repairs, etc.
• Maintain plant grounds and the maintenance shop in a clean and orderly manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Manager.
• Purchase electrical supplies and other parts or communicate these needs to the Maintenance Manager.
• Strictly adhere to all company policies pertaining to such issues as Safety Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Human Resource issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The starting salary range for this position for candidates located in Illinois or reporting to a supervisor located in Illinois is $35.00 USD hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including but not limited to skill set and depth of experience.
