About the role
The Role:
- $23–$27 per hour, home daily, paid weekly, overtime after 40 hours.
- Hours: 8am to 4:30pm
- Typical Daily Runs: 2-8
Our drivers are crucial to the recycling process. They typically conduct local runs a day, visiting our customer accounts to bring recycled materials into our yard to be processed. The Monroe position will also help in the yard when no runs are needed.
Brief Summary:
- Operates a truck picking up metal within specified area.
- Wait to be loaded by either Alter or customer and drive loads to customer or Alter.
- Secure the load based on type of truck or box.
- Follow company safety standards at all times, including inspections, PPE and attending monthly safety meetings.
- Communicate with dispatcher concerning delays, unsafe routes, accidents, equipment breakdowns
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Prior Commercial Driving Experience, at least 1 year
- Ability to drive manual trucks, required
- MVR able to pass our Safety requirements
