Licensed Electrician

Skillforce is seeking licensed Journeyman Electricians who will play a critical role on a day-shift team performing electrical maintenance throughout the DC area. The ideal candidate has 5+ years electrical maintenance work and a valid license.

Pay and Schedule:

Pay- $36-38 per hour (Temp to Perm with 6-month probation period)

Schedule- Multiple Shifts:

• Day Shift- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification.
• Must have a certification in OSHA 10/30 safety training.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed electrician in the construction industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes applicable to Washington DC.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, conduit bending, panel installation, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
• Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Collaborate with construction teams to plan and execute electrical installations within project timelines and budgets.
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using specialized tools and equipment, and implement effective solutions promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment to minimize risk on job sites.
