Lake Club Supervisor

SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise the activities of the Lake Club, Valet and the Lake Club department staff. To assist in the management of all Lake Club department operations. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Is responsible for assisting in the supervision and performance of the Lake Club department staff including hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, payroll activities, and training and development activities.

1. Assists in the monitoring of internal operations including daily operations, scheduling, and management of policies, procedures and guest satisfaction.
2. Responsible for reviewing and assigning staff to appropriate shifts on a daily and weekly basis to insure adequate staffing coverage.
3. Trains and orients Lake Club and Valet staff to position responsibilities and department operating procedures.

1. Responds to guests requests, provides information, and assists guests in a timely manner.
2. Supervises group tour activities related to arrivals and departures during shift.
3. Responsible for ensuring Lake Club staff issues coupons, manages inventories, and completes log sheets on each shift as required.
4. Responsible for ensuring that all valet vehicle maintenance and reports are kept up to date and available for review by the Assistant Manager.
5. Responsible for completing shift and incident reports for review by the Assistant Manager.
6. May assist in the performance of all Lake Club department staff activities to ensure Guest expectations and department operations are performed in a timely and efficient manner.
7. Works closely with the Assistant Manager to analyze the Lake Club department performance and implements enhancements to increase guest satisfaction.
8. Responsible for recommending and maintaining department objectives, standards, policies and procedures for review by the Assistant Manager.
9. Resolve associate interdepartmental or guest disputes in accordance with established Policies and Procedures informs Assistant Manager of issues and outcomes.

1. Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Is responsible for the direct supervision of approximately 13 Lake Club Associates: Lake Club and Valet staff on varied shifts.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Operates independently with supervision received from the Assistant Manager. May review major or unusual decisions with Player Development Manager.

POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:

1. Internal: Frequent contact with associates at all levels within all departments of the organization.
2. External: Extensive contact with guests and visitors.

EDUCATION: A High School education or equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years supervisory experience in a customer service environment is required. Supervisory experience must include people management and computer experience. Previous experience with vehicle maintenance and ability to handle passenger vehicles preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and people management skills. Must be familiar with PC’s, related software and have a solid understanding of customer service and satisfaction techniques. Must be able to manage, maintain confidential and sensitive information with diplomacy and tact. Must maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations as necessary.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

1. Work Conditions: The majority of responsibilities are performed within an office environment and the gaming floor with exposure to differentials in temperature.
2. Exposure to Hazards: May be exposed to situations where spills, wet floors or guest behaviors may create undesirable conditions. May be exposed to variety of weather and road conditions.
3. Physical Requirements: Continual walking, bending, standing and lifting is required.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to be licensed by the Lac du Flambeau Tribal Gaming Commission.

OTHER: Must be able to work irregular hours, weekends, holidays and be available for call into work on short notice. Must attend all mandatory meetings, departmental training and development sessions. Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and be insurable under the Tribal automobile insurance policy.
