- Verify field dimensions, equipment specifications, structural support requirements, and installation clearances.
- Ensure installations comply with applicable mechanical codes, fire-safety requirements, manufacturer instructions, and approved project documents.
- Inspect installations, verify workmanship, identify deficiencies, and assist with startup and functional testing as applicable
Coordination
- Coordinate duct penetrations, roof openings, equipment placement, and required clearances with the general contractor and other trades.
- Coordinate electrical connections, controls, gas, and plumbing with appropriately qualified or licensed trades.
- Identify job-site conflicts and resolve installation issues within the scope of work, escalating to supervisors when needed.
Reporting and Safety
- Maintain accurate job-site records and communicate project status, material needs, and installation issues to management.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all applicable OSHA and job-site safety procedures.

- Working knowledge of NFPA 96 and commercial kitchen ventilation requirements.
- Sheet metal, welding, or duct fabrication experience.
