About the Role
Great marketing is more than a compelling message. It's about reaching the right people, at the right time, with solutions that make a difference in their lives.
At Southland Credit Union, we're looking for an Integrated Marketing Manager who can turn big ideas into meaningful results. In this role, you'll help shape how we attract new Members, strengthen existing relationships, and connect people with financial products and services that support their goals.
Working closely with the VP of Marketing, you'll play a key role in shaping campaign strategy and driving initiatives from initial concept through execution and performance evaluation. This is a role for someone who can see the bigger picture, recognize opportunities, bring forward recommendations, and take ownership of turning strategy into measurable results.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Turning Marketing Strategy Into Action
Every successful campaign starts with understanding who you're trying to reach, what matters to them, and what you want to accomplish. As the Integrated Marketing Manager, you'll translate organizational priorities into thoughtful marketing strategies that connect the right audiences with the right messages.
You won't simply be executing campaigns that have already been defined. You'll help determine the approach—identifying opportunities, understanding target audiences, shaping messaging, selecting the right channels, and establishing how success will be measured.
You'll lead integrated campaigns across digital advertising, email, websites, social media, direct mail, Financial Center communications, and other marketing channels. By bringing together creative development, compelling storytelling, digital marketing, and audience insights, you'll ensure each campaign delivers a cohesive experience and supports Southland's broader business objectives.
You'll also look for ways to make marketing more relevant and effective through audience segmentation, personalization, testing, and optimization. Your ability to connect business priorities with Member insights and marketing performance will help guide decisions and shape stronger campaigns.
Driving Campaigns and Cross-Functional Partnerships
Strong marketing requires more than a good strategy. It takes someone who can bring the right people together, influence direction, and move initiatives forward.
You'll serve as a key Marketing partner to departments including Lending, Operations, Digital Banking, and Member Experience. By understanding their priorities and challenges, you'll identify opportunities to translate business needs into marketing initiatives that attract new Members, encourage product adoption, deepen existing relationships, and support Member engagement.
You'll lead campaign planning and coordination across internal teams, marketing specialists, and external vendors. From developing campaign briefs and providing creative direction to managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder feedback, you'll maintain ownership of the work while keeping everyone aligned on the desired outcomes.
This role calls for someone who can confidently make recommendations, exercise sound judgment, and address challenges without waiting for direction at every step. When priorities shift or obstacles arise, you'll identify solutions, manage competing demands, and keep initiatives moving forward.
Measuring Results and Improving Performance
Great marketing doesn't end when a campaign launches. Understanding what worked, what didn't, and where opportunities exist is just as important as the strategy behind it.
You'll monitor campaign performance against established objectives and key performance indicators, using marketing analytics, behavioral data, and audience insights to evaluate effectiveness. You'll translate those findings into meaningful recommendations that help improve acquisition, Member engagement, product adoption, and retention.
You'll also oversee campaign budgets, monitor expenditures, and recommend adjustments based on performance and business priorities. Working with Compliance and other stakeholders, you'll coordinate required reviews and approvals to ensure campaigns align with Southland's brand standards, messaging guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Success means serving as a trusted marketing partner who can independently lead initiatives, influence campaign direction, anticipate challenges, and deliver results. You'll know how to balance the bigger strategic picture with the details required to bring each campaign to life, while continuously looking for ways to improve performance and strengthen Member relationships.
