Qualifications

Here’s What You Need:

Education

· High School Diploma or Equivalent Required And

· Bachelor's Degree Education, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, Law Enforcement, or closely related fields. 4 Years Relevant work experience in lieu of degree. Preferred.

Experience

· 5 Years Relevant work experience security, law enforcement, or miliary with a Bachelor’s Degree. Required or

· 9 Years Relevant work experience security, law enforcement, or miliary without a Bachelor’s Degree. Required and

· 2 Years of experience in staff development, training, and/or teaching experience. Required.

Licenses and Certifications

· DL - Drivers License Upon Hire Required.

· Peace Officer Peace Officer Certification Upon Hire Preferred.

· Other Instructor Certification 120 Days Required.

· TASRI - Taser Instructor Taser Instructor Certification 12 Months Required.

· TFIRE - TCOLE Firearms Instructor Firearms Instructor Certification 12 Months Required.

· ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 12 Months Required.

· Other Texas Private Security Bureau

· Registration Level III Classroom 6 Months Required.

Skills

· Outstanding writing, editing and communications skills.

· Strong project management and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently under tight timelines.

· Ability to change work direction and priorities effectively and efficiently based on project demands.

· High degree of initiative. Ability to plan and follow through.

· Previous experience with managing outcomes through others.

· Articulate, highly motivated, detail oriented, well organized, and flexible.

· Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

· Working knowledge of industry standards, or the ability to learn them, in areas including, but not limited to:

o State and federal criminal and civil codes

o IAHSS

o TJC

o CMS/Medicare

o OSHA

o The State of Texas Commission on Law Enforcement

o The Department of Public Safety.
