Inspection Technician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inspection Technician to join our Mine Maintenance Department at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V.

The successful candidate will inspect mobile equipment, identify defects, and create and prioritize maintenance backlogs. The role aims to increase planned maintenance, improve equipment reliability, and reduce breakdowns and unplanned maintenance work.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Perform regular inspections and maintenance checks of mobile equipment to identify defects, malfunctions, and potential failures.

• Create, review, and adjust maintenance backlogs with appropriate priorities and resources to address identified equipment conditions.

• Conduct random audits of equipment under PM or PCR to verify backlog accuracy and identify additional maintenance requirements.

• Collaborate with the Maintenance Planning and Execution teams to schedule, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance activities.

• Maintain accurate inspection and maintenance records, assist in troubleshooting equipment issues, and comply with RGM Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Secondary High school diploma - NATIN/AMTO Mechanical trade (WTB).

• At least 5 years of experience with Caterpillar and Komatsu mining equipment.

• Strong knowledge of inspection techniques and procedures.

• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule of 14 days of work followed by 7 days break

• Good communication and interpersonal skills in Dutch and English.

• If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goed Gedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
