ACCIONA is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to support facility operations at a GM manufacturing site. The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable building operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Monitor and maintain boilers, chillers, air handlers, rooftop units, and related equipment.
• Respond to service calls and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Participate in an on-call rotation or overtime as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC certification and/or EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• 3+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Skills & Abilities 

• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. 
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. 
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. 
• Basic computer skills for CMMS, documentation, and work orders. 
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures. 
• Strong communication and teamwork skills. .
